I have painted something that I’m genuinely proud of!

I am *ridiculously* proud of this. I’m sure I could do it again better in a year’s time, but it’s the best thing I’ve painted with no guidance.

Reheating half a pizza from the local cheap takeaway (it’s nice!) and remembered the (former? Idk what you call someone who moved cities without telling you) friend who said,

“I can’t eat pizza here anymore, after going to Rome”.

This makes me very happy! I started a single maths module for fun in 2012; a 1st, MSc distinction, and 1/3 of a PhD later I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Was heading out the door and my brother was like “off to play mermaid basketball?” And I was like “yup”, and I think he’s right, I think we *should* call the not-actually-water-polo that my buddy Ian and I do “mermaid basketball”, because we only have 2 people, which does not a water polo game make.

The generały recommended starter brand in the UK is Cotman (student grade Winsor & Newton) - my teacher suggested it and I’ve been happy with the basic set of 12 supplemented by other pigments as I’ve needed them. I’ll go for DS, Sennelier, or Schmincke to treat myself - never anything from Amazon.

Glitch is a nicely thought out series (that actually got to finish and not be cancelled or dragged out to banality), and Wellington Paranormal is a very silly (/pos) series that sprang from the original WWDITS film.
