Your "big tent" cannot be so large that it encompasses those who would deny civil/human rights, due process, and the rule of law to *anyone* and that includes the criminals in this administration. It for damn sure means we don't sacrifice immigrants or trans people.

Weirdly though, despite the ongoing efforts from the Aussie media that not only hasn't caught on nearly as well, it's actually been improving somewhat here AFAICT. Still bullshit, but slightly better? 🤷

First of all, it requires strong solidarity and is incredibly hard to do in the U.S. Our unions are weak, our country is big, and the vast majority of Americans would lose their job if they struck, over anything. The majority of those would then lose

I've got no qualifications or insight to decide whether or not the situation is actually ethical or not, but the huge difference in power compared to Clark's makes Peter's situation massively *less problematic*, IMHO.

We need clear goals. Though it's tempting to b*rn everything to the ground, at the end of the day, we still live here. Our kids live here. We have to treat our communities well. I work in healthcare. I'm not going to be participating in a general strike. Doesn't mean I wouldn't support it though

General strike? YES GOOD!!!

If--and this is a huge if--the purpose of the strike is clearly defined and communicated to all parties.
