Monty doesn’t wish to alarm anyone, but the sun is…kind of coming out?

Monty gazes out the window upon a grim and cloudy #Caturday

anyway good night from this little zombie

I’m back at the salon for a color touch-up, and also for my curly little buddy, Cecelia 😅

Is have what’s called (in real estate parlance) a “territorial view” of the mountain. By which I mean: after the leaves fall, if the sun is out and the sky is clear, I can stand on my tiptoes in one spot of the living area and if I zoom in through a corner of one window…there it is.

The Morning Monty revels in the glow.

goooood morning it is brisk and BRIGHT - so you can see the mountain (the distant nubbie at the end of the trail) - and even without sunglasses, it’s totally true: Lucy Loved That Walk

anyway good night

::waggles eyebrows::

fwiw, I caught a dryer fire once - before it had a chance to get out of hand. I was babysitting my little brother, who was playing outside…when I saw smoke pouring out of an open window.

for real tho, yes: *clear out your lint filter every time you dry a load*
Two things I have learned from "It Was Her House First":

1) "Just one more chapter, then I'll turn in" is totally a thing, and
b) CHECK THE FUCKING LINT TRAP

Excellent, honest thread on the reality of being a writer today.
I'm not the only author I know who has a huge surfeit of ideas for books that we would love to write and send out into the world if only we had the time to write them.

The Morning Monty waits for spring.
November 27, 2025 at 5:42 PM
goooood morning it is chilly and damp and the crows were out in force, begging for pop tart crusts - so we shared our snack with the big greedy birds and in the end, yes: Lucy Loved That Walk

You just died.

The 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you.

(yeah, that checks out)

this dignified little goon

The World’s Goodest Boy(👇) was half Pyr, and I cannot recommend the breed/mixes enough. Friendly, lazy, easy-going nature and usually great with kids (as well as other animals). If you have room in your heart and your yard - take a chance on one of these good boys/girls. You won’t find a better dog.

The Morning Monty settles in.
November 26, 2025 at 5:40 PM
goooood morning it is chilly and drizzly and dark out there, but our jaunt around the neighborhood was successful and pleasant, so yes, indeed: Lucy Loved That Walk
November 26, 2025 at 5:01 PM
anyway good night
November 26, 2025 at 6:06 AM
anyway here’s a dog making the same face I made when I read that previous repost

We’re not small business owners, ffs - we’re independent contractors, and we are routinely robbed by the world’s dumbest dingbats.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea
