Oh, man, Drew Struzan's departed us.

You know all the hits, of course; the man was a legend. Here's a rejected (!?!?) poster he did for STAR TREK V.
The movie-era USS Enterprise speeding towards a planet that's in the process of exploding. You can HEAR this poster.

This book, edited by Ellen Datlow, initially for Del Rey, has never been in an e-book version. Now it’s out in e-format from Open Road. My story in here is “Daltharee.” For the full TOC follow the link. openroadmedia.com/ebook/the-bi...

Take a few minutes to appreciate Drew Struzan creating the original artwork for THE PHANTOM MENACE. Truly a master at work.

Enough going on in the world that I don't need someone telling me they don't like the movie where Kirk asks God what he needs with a starship.

Looks like public media platform at Penn State University will stay open, after news that Philadelphia public media outlet WHYY will take control of WPSU - which was slated to be the first public media outlet to close following loss of federal funding. https://loom.ly/4HCc8As.
Reverse card: Penn State trustees agree to transfer WPSU to WHYY
The university will no longer be required to pay a $17.6 million subsidy to WHYY as financial supporters are expected to step up to save the central Pennsylvania station.

Read what you want to read and don't worry about what you "should" read. Your time is finite, books are awesome and there millions more than you can possibly read in a lifetime, there is no reason to self inflict literary suffering.

There is this one smaller unknown book in Picard's quarters in season 4 of #StarTrekTNG that is evading me. Here it is seen in "Qpid"↖️, "Suddenly Human"↗️ and "Devil's Due"⬇️. It is not one of his Shakespeare books but I have no clue what it is, the one illustration seen also isn't helping...

Hey guys, if you’re not too busy this weekend, maybe it might be a good time to go see a movie. Just a thought. I heard there is something good playing.

Status report, "Fabuloue Stuff" dep't: This whole series of SudwestRundfunk films on handcrafts ("How to Make a [Fill In The Blank]") is terrific, but this one, on Black Forest cakes, is unusually revelatory. 😀 youtu.be/My-fVT-XOvs...

The TrekMovie team is heartbroken by the loss of Subrina Wood, one of the SyFy Sistas. She brought so much to the fandom: a fierce love of Star Trek, a deep knowledge of film and directing, strong and insightful opinions, and a great sense of humor. We mourn her loss.

Roman Glass Artefacts (1st-3rd Century AD), from several roman graves and tombs, thus these collection known as 'Roman Glass Grave Goods'.

Roman glass was a luxury item, and its presence in graves often indicated status of deceased.

There needs to be more coverage of this in the news. I have read so many stories bout this on Facebook, first hand stories of the terror of that storm, and very little coverage n media.

Screenshot of a Facebook post. Photo is an elderly woman holding a child on her ap on a couch with flood water around them. Both are wearing jackets inside. Text says: This was after our 1st drift.. staying put for awhile. Our 3rd and final drift was terrifying. House moving fast then we started spinning in circles. While we were spinning in circles my oldest daughter was just staring at me while I held onto my younger two. Kipnuk doesn't look like kipnuk anymore, like more than 3/4 of the homes displaced, power poles fallen. It smells like stove oil outside. Contaminated
