I ❤️ Star Trek, every incarnation of it. Period. Don't try to read any negativity in my posts - it's simply not there. #StarTrekPicard Research Assistant https://linktr.ee/gaghyogi49

It has burn marks from the crash and is supposed to be the recovered but damaged (and thus resized) original.

The bottle of Janice Rand's favourite perfume that Charlie Evans gives to her in #StarTrekTOS' "Charlie X"⬆️ was later re-used (sans the decorative top) as the bottle of Antarean glow water in "The Trouble with Tribbles"⬇️. Maybe Rand's favourite perfume IS Antarean glow water. 😅

#StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬆️ gives us one of the best looks at Picard's Enterprise-D ready room painting, as it appears before the retouches between seasons 4 and 5. The recreation of the painting from seasons 2 and 3 of #StarTrekPicard can be seen in the middle and bottom pics.

In #StarTrekTOS# "The Naked Time", Joe Tormolen has ordered some kind of colourful food cube stew (notice the pieces of meat) from the food slot. It seems the cubes (only red, green and yellow/orange ones seen here) are either consumed in a fruit salad like dish or in a savoury stew.

Me neither until a week ago. 😅

Here are screenshots of the shelf in Picard's quarters in #StarTrekTNG's "The Battle", "Angel One", "Where Silence Has Lease", Pen Pal" (1st row), "Allegiance", "Sarek", "Suddenly Human" and "Qpid" (2nd row). As can be seen, the Shakespeare bust was introduced for season 4.

I wanted to contact him but learned that he had sadly passed away almost a year ago. He was a brilliant map-maker. I would have loved to tell him that his creation lives on until the 24th century and adorns the VIP quarters of the Starfleet flag ship! 4/4

Thanks to its appearance in the 80s film "Explorers", where much more of the poster is seen than the small fragment in #StarTrekTNG's "Too Short a Season"⬆️, I was able to identify that this poster is "Map of the Universe the Northern Hemisphere" by Tomás Filsinger. Sadly it is out of print. 3/4

It seems the circular central element of the poster was cut out and used as set decoration in Jameson's quarters in "Too Short a Season"⬆️. Only a small part of it was "clearly" seen in the #StarTrekTNG episode but it is definitely a match with the screenshot from "Explorers"⬇️. 2/4

Like I said, I recently rewatched the film "Explorers", as suggested by @mikeokuda.bsky.social. Notice the large poster of Northern hemisphere constellations seen in the film behind Ethan Hawke. I immediately knew that this was familiar - from Admiral Jameson's quarters in "Too Short a Season".🧵 1/4

Absolutely and very much so. He's the best!

Mike has always been kind enough to chime in on some of my research, so that is how it happened. Without him, I never would have solved that personal riddle that had been bugging me for more than a decade, so I'm immensely grateful and thus, give him credit!

But Jerry doesn't appear in "Explorers". 😅

Mike Okuda pointed me towards the film "Explorers" in order to look for something I was after. I didn't find what I was looking for but was able to solve another riddle that had bugged me for quite some time. I'll report on this later today! :-)

The Oberth class hasn't been forgotten, even in the 32nd century, as seen in the #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy trailer! :-) The original tough little ship? :-)

...as part of Daystrom Station in the 25th century (#StarTrekPicard's "Bounty"➡️) and in the 32nd century in the new #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy trailer ⬇️! :-) 2/2

The MIDAS array model (created in 1999) must now be one of the longest serving CG models on #StarTrek. It was seen in the 22nd century as Yosemite 3 (#StarTrekENT's "Zero Hour"↖️), as the MIDAS array in the 24th century (#StarTrekVOY's "Pathfinder"↗️)... 🧵 1/2

Tilly!! Finally seen in the latest #StarTrekStarfleet Academy trailer! 🤩

One of the members of the Federation Archaeological Council in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬅️ is wearing Premier Bhavani's Barzan's necklace from the season 3 episode "The Price"➡️. "Qpid" is filled with background characters rewearing old costumes from seasons 1-3... :-)

Kirk bites off a piece of a green food cube in #StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap" and you can see that it is yellow inside. Based on the sound he makes when chewing on it, I would say it is a piece of apple (maybe very unripe honedew melon) to which green food color was applied.

The exact same spot on the Paramount New York Streets set in the season 7 #MacGyver episode "Good Knight MacGyver I"⬆️, where MacGyver is hit on the head by a flower pot, is where Troi is hit by a brick wall in Keystone City in the #StarTrekTNG's season 7 episode "Emergence"⬇️.😅

Picard's big speech PADD in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" (featuring multicolored text, showing all of the revisions to his speech) is of the same type as other large PADDs ("Peak Performance"↙️, "HolloW Pursuits"↘️) seen in earlier episodes but with different brown tape areas.
