Honestly I don't and shouldn't care about some random American election, so damn me for opining at all, but I think what the Platner drama shows (which is interesting) is that a certain Type of masculinity remains a social get out of jail free card even for alleged progressives.

The average American millennial man has been a neocon, a pacifist, a liberal, a libertarian, a communist, a nazi, and I believe now most of us are back around to liberal again. This isn't a defense of platner it's just weird how normal this shit is for guys that age.

This. None of us actually expect that we’re going to see society wide masking anymore.

Masking in medical facilities should be the bare minimum.

A few more people choosing to mask up might save a life.

When we say “everyone should mask” we don’t actually expect people will. We know how selfish people are. But we say it because:

1) it’s factually true

2) if even a few people listen to us that’s a few more lives saved and, as the Talmud says, every life is a universe.

Listen to me. Listen. If you're making images that will only be displayed on screens, YOU HAVE TO LET GO. You can calibrate your screens perfectly, but then 25k people will see it on their shitty $50 monitors or cracked phone and its out of your hands. Don't think of it. Achieve enlightenment.

Whatever you think of the White House as a building or a symbol, the fact is that the image of it being torn apart on a whim two days after 7 million people hit the streets against autocracy is going to make a HUGE amount of people really, really angry, and that's an energy that should be harnessed.

I'm so glad that in Pokémon Legends Z-A that shiny Pokémon are so easy to notice. Between the sound, the color and the sparkles on screen. I really appreciate it as a disabled player. Cause I don't always notice things due to my disabilities.

I'm Canadian but seeing the White House torn up like that is really jarring (we did it a little differently in 1812 🤪), so I imagine there's a number of American normies who are going to go absolutely ballistic over it, which is good

The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.
