In the US, I paid 28k a year for a WA gold family healthcare plan. When my son broke his leg (normal break), we ended up paying 18k out of pocket.

In Canada in the last year our family has had:
-Two MRIs
-Multiple X-rays and scans
-Heart stress test
-Multiple surgical procedures
