Going after dark patterns and enshittification more widely would be a much more effective use of state time and avoid what has, at least in China, become an increasingly farcical and unenforceable game of whackamole, and that is by a far larger and scarier state.

I think it's ultimately a whackamole situation, there's always clever workarounds and dual use options, all we can do is responsibly disclose them as they arise
