Just vacuumed the rat's nest of cables and small devices that includes the ethernet hub this computer is connected to. Unfortunately it led to a temporary network outage.

It's worth remembering that at the present rate of advance it'd take the Russians roughly *40 years* to reach Kyiv, and at the present rate of loses they'd lose 20m people in doing so.
It's just as unsustainable for them to continue as Ukraine.

This feels like a missed opportunity to me. There should be a "cloud computing" strategy that emphasizes and enables locally provided and owned service providers and government procurement, as a huge consumer of these services, can be a key instrument of that strategy.
The 15th iteration of the UK government’s flagship cloud computing procurement framework is due to go live in 2026, and looks set to be very different compared with previous versions of the purchasing agreement....
