This extra £25.5 million means more appointments, more procedures, more people getting care faster - part of £135.5 million invested this year to keep cutting waiting times.

Carter's plan was to release "patients" to community centers in each neighborhood. Then he lost the election and, Reagan, elitist dipshit that he was, scaled back the CMHCs to almost useless outpatient therapy clinics, rather than the full service residential entities that were envisioned.

I just wanted to let everyone know that they are taking great care of me here as an outpatient. I am so incredibly grateful to every single person who has been so generous to donate, and thank you for every one of you who has shared this for me. I am so hopeful for the future of my health. ❤️
❤️ We reached $920 by Wednesday, 10/29 and our NEXT goal is $550 by 11/2!

As Bobby awaits surgery, we hope that both of his kidneys will be saved -- extending his life 15 - 20 years!

If you can chip in $10, $25, $50, $100 or more -- he'll be stress free while waiting!

Please give what you can! 🔽

I have heart & respiratory failure from COVID in March 2020 from an outpatient doctor visit. Husband & I wear N95 & work at home. Caught COVID 2 more times. Once from ultrasound visit & once from regular office visit. In 2025, one doctor has worn a procedure mask. No other HC workers masked. 😷

Accompanying my husband to outpatient surgery this morning (then he has cataract surgery next month, and then another procedure in December. He's falling apart.)

Got my e-reader, my knitting, headphones, and face masks (cause if you think I go bare-faced in a *doctor's office*, think again.)

I've had two surgeries (simple outpatient stuff like hernia repair) and my surgeon agreed that changing my hormones was a bad move and the risk of clotting wasn't a real concern from HRT.

i'm also not rehashing my symptoms because i've posted enough times about them over the last three months. and frankly, they're gross – especially what i went through this weekend. +

I was going with the most expensive plan anyhow because it makes sense with a chronic condition, but it’s also the only one with a flat copay for urgent care and emergency departments. Also for outpatient procedures and I already had that retina issue so I will have more.

This is something to celebrate.

More NHS patients getting the treatment they need sooner!

6.15m NHS surgeries and outpatient appointments delivered free at the point of use, based on need, by using spare capacity in the private sector.

This is not and never will be privatisation of the NHS.

Many hospital outpatient appts have a decent raw margin of "profit" in them for the Trust, but your typical emergency care appt, major surgery, or expensive treatment just doesn't cover its costs from what the NHS pays them.

The former subsidises the latter and largely keeps hospitals open.
