Here is a way to cross-check any data that I will publish.
First, go to THL's database web page ( sampo.thl.fi/pivot/prod/f... ). Google translate works well in Chrome.
1/x
For total population, visual disturbances and blindness have doubled since the onset of the pandemic. There has been no letup in recent years. Average growth rate is power(1.97, 1/5) = 14.5 percent per year (= 10x every ln(10)/ln(1.145)= 17 years).
3/x
Here is the graph for all age groups, all of which are showing quite uniform y/y growth. Patients / public outpatient healthcare.
2/x
In 30 years from now, 5 percent of 1–6 year olds and 8 percent of 25–49 year olds will be walking with white sticks, if current growth trends continue.
That's really good chart. I'll check the other areas listed. Many thanks.
Autism and other persistent developmental disorders (F84) are more prevalent among 15-24 year olds than in any other age group. Current estimated growth rate is 34% y/y, or power(1.384,10)=19 times in 10 years (19x19=384 times in 20 years, etc.), if current growth rates continue.
2/x
In Finland, autism and related pervasive developmental disorders (F84) are up 4.3 times from 2020. Current growth rate is 29.4% per year, or 13x in 10 years if current growth continues (13x13=169x in 20 years, etc.). There was little growth before the pandemic.

I looked into those cancers that had no records during 2019, 2019 and 2020 among 25-49 year olds. From 2021 to 2025e, the number of diagnoses has grown strongly. In total population, the number of patients has more than doubled from 2019.
35/x
Malignant neoplasms (C00–C97): among 25–49 year olds, the number of various types of cancers has risen by 53/32 = 65% from 2019 to 2024, with the new cancers showing faster growth than the total.

The second-fastest growing cancer among 15-24 year olds is brain cancer, with a 26.7% average growth rate between 2021 and 2025e, or 10x in 10 years.

Data from Finland paints a scary picture of what SARS-COV-2 is doing.
Finland's epidemic 14 Sep 2025: total number of diagnoses continues to rise, despite price hikes in the private healthcare sector.
1/x
The second most common cancer among 15-24 year olds is Lymphoid leukaemia (C91), with incidence up 5.3 -fold from 2020.
31/x
Among 15-24 year olds, Hodgkin's disease (C81) is the most common cancer, with incidence up 0.003555/0.000824 = 4.3 -fold in the past 4 years.
30/x
Here is the calculation. I estimate that in Finland, incidence (diagnoses) of C74 during 2024 and 2025 in the pediatric population (0-14) is between 200 and 220 times higher than the average incidence (patients) in the United States.
29/x
15-24 year olds: incidence of malignant neoplasms (C00-C97) has 0.01911/0.00989 = doubled from 2019. In 2025e, number of 15-24 year old cancer patients in public healthcare is expected to grow 15 percent year-on-year.
27/x
A third cancer among 7–14 year olds is Lymphoid leukaemia (C91), with an incidence (diagnoses) of approx. 0.0171/0.001809 = 9.5 times higher than in 2021, averaging a 1.7-fold increase each year.
26/x
For another first time ever in the history of the database, 7-14 year olds have been diagnosed with Bone cancer (C41). Incidence of diagnoses is clearly above the average for total population.
25/x
Among 7–14 year olds, brain cancer (C71) is showing the highest y/y growth rate in diagnoses, with number of diagnoses excepted to double in 2025e.
24/x
Malignant neoplasms (C00-C97): for 7-14 year olds, this year is showing 31% y/y growth.
23/x
Abnormality of white blood cells (R72): also in these lab findings, the trend is up.
22/x
If you ever want to become an AI programmer or something (or anything), use a mask.
A note on malignant neoplasm of the adrenal gland (C74): in a single step, the incidence among infants rose to the top. <1 year olds are now diagnosed with this cancer 0.02712/0.0004253 = 64 times more frequently than the general population.
21/x
Symptoms and signs concerning food and fluid intake (R63): in public outpatient healthcare there is an accelerating trend among under 7 year olds, both in terms of diagnoses and number of patients.
