I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

And that’s no shade to Tom. It’s a systemic hard and fast rule that if a man steps into a women dominated field they therefore must be superior and immediately become a star. It was created before him. But I’m not going to participate. Bugs the b-jeebus out of me.

I haven’t watched it, full disclosure. But I don’t think I will. Over a lifetime I’ve watched the rare man who steps into a woman dominated field shoot to the top as little baby newbies on the job in multiple fields. Women have been knitting for millennia. It’d be nice to acknowledge them.

Size 20 needles?! Sounds like a shag rug. I mean I realize fashion designers try a lot of crazy things for inspiration, but I think it best I don’t put myself through that process. I would be very stressed. 😆
