One of my friends, once a roommate, was a single mom that stripped for a living. She was a moral, decent, kind, caring, responsible mom that did ALL the mom things to do with school etc for her boy. She was a very responsible person, who managed her finances well. She was respectable.

Having sold the parental home last year, I invested 90% in a bond with respectable interest rate, and the rest in an ISA.
Numerous current accounts didn’t give interest.
Unless they freeze all accounts once notified of a death so can’t accrue any interest?

Probably someone on his behalf. Are there any institutions that haven't sold us out for money? I once worked at a respectable foster care agency because the founder was a good man. When he retired, his adult kids ran it into the ground. Suddenly, no money for foster kids, but yes corporate retreats.

Once it is a more respectable time of day, I'll reach out to my friend who happened to be the teacher of said class, and ask her when it started being offered as I believe she was the first ever teacher of that class there.

I haven't edited a wiki page in decades, so not sure how well that will go.

Title: The Iron Dragon's Tale Subtitle: A Kind Word & A Friendly Face Trigger: Zhao Ming vs Helman Ghorst (Zhao Ming victory) “I must say, that despite our differences, your dedication to your family certainly is…respectable.” “In all my years, never once has anyone, friend or foe, ever seen it that way.” “True,” nodded Zhao Ming as he sat himself across his erstwhile opponent. “But my years living and walking among my subjects have taught me much about the human spirit. And while some give in completely to evil, most are…complicated.” At this, Helman Ghorst just smiled weakly. In his defence, what little strength he had left was being sapped away by the presence of the sword lodged in his chest. Being pinned against a tree certainly was not helping matters either. But still, it was not often that he received compliments such as this. He was more used to threats of damnation and revenge, as well as the moaning of his undead servants. Around them, the remains of Ghorst’s undead hordes were littered. With the necromancer having barely any life left in himself to keep them animated, the fearsome force that had threatened to swallow the forces of Shang-Yang whole had finally crumbled into broken bones and rotten flesh. Not that they went out without a fight though. Zhao Ming himself was covered with quite a few newly acquired scars of war that he was examining as he sat himself down before his dying enemy. “I hope you know that the conflict between us was not one I consider personal,” said the Iron Dragon, gently patting Ghorst on the shoulder. “But you attacking Cathayan caravans certainly drew my father’s ire, and I do have some expectations to live up to, being the Lord of Shang-Yang.” Ghorst nodded. “If you lost any friends in those caravans, I am sorry. The wealth they transported was a great boon to my cause. And I ensured that they did not suffer much deprivations in their second chance at life.” Zhao Ming frowned a little at this. “I suppose that is where we differ. Death is simply part of life. It is not an obstacle that requires overcoming, any more than the seasons are.” “A little strange, coming from an immortal Dragon and alchemist such as yourself,” noted Ghorst. “Do you sincerely mean to tell me that in your endeavours, never once did you seek a way to ensure one’s return from the grave?” At this, Zhao Ming shook his head. “Turn lead into gold? Yes. Turn the blood of a living creature into molten iron? Yes. Defeat death? Never.” “Why is that?” Ghorst sincerely asked. The Iron Dragon thought about it for a moment. After some time spent in silence, he finally spoke, “Death is what gives life value. It is the way of the world. With the knowledge that your time on this plane of existence is short, one is motivated to make the best out of it.” He would have gone on, talking about the philosophy of life and death that he had formed over the years, had he not noticed that the necromancer had already breathed his last. Rising and walking up to Ghorst’s body, he leaned down and pushed his eyelids shut. “May you find the peace you need,” Zhao Ming whispered. “In this life and the next.”

Few of these 'respectable' folk are willing to take a lead and leave.

I find Apple’s auto-complete very disconcerting. It keeps trying to guess my words in truly unsettling ways.

Once, for no reason at all, I started typing “I’ll” and the autocomplete thought I wanted to say “illegals”. With the “s”. I don’t refer to anyone that way and no respectable person should.

If you're really turned on, but your partner can't stand the idea of having sex right now? That's a respectable choice. Those two are easy, I think, but how about these? + If your partner used to do something with you a lot, but doesn't want to do it anymore? That's a respectable choice. + If you are married to your partner, but ze doesn't want to have sex? That's a respectable choice. + If your partner performed a sexual act with another partner but would prefer not to do it with you? That's a respectable choice. + If you know your partner likes a certain kind of sex, but they don't want to do it right now? That's a respectable choice. + If you think a certain act is "mild" and "taken for granted," like kissing or tickling, but your partner doesn't want to do it? That's a respectable choice. By the way, if you (like I once did) feel as though your partner is entitled to sex of any kind, I encourage you to re-examine that feeling. Ditto if you've got a little voice in your head telling you that you "ought to" be up for sex all the time just because you don't get it very often... or that you "ought to" be up for sex if you've done it with your partner before... or whatever. The other best thing that ever happened to my sex life was when I finally, finally, finally internalized the idea that my partners don't ever "deserve" sex for any reason -- that there's no reason I ever "should" be having sex -- and that the only reason I should ever, ever, ever do anything sexual is because I legitimately want to. Of course, if you truly believe that you need a certain kind of sexuality in your life, then you're absolutely entitled to ask your partner to consider it -- and you're entitled to leave the relationship if ze isn't up for it.
