Iceland canceled its 2025 whaling season, sparing hundreds of fin whales. Iceland’s only active whaling company, Hvalur said it would not participate in the summer whaling season for the 2nd year in a row due to low demand and financial concerns. Wish it was about conservation but I'll take it!
