I'm curious if Orr's focus on renter protection resonated better than TEAM wanting to stop densification, which comes across as protectionist of westside low-density more than improving affordability.
I think TEAM also overestimates anti-Jericho and anti-UBCx sentiment across the city.

I like the big projects too, but what we can do more quickly to bolster the economy is lots of "small" infra projects that should really get done anyway and are worth doing. Heck, start boring UBCx! amp.tvo.org/article/anal...

In the Access for Everyone Plan, UBCx is planned once the first of the BRTs are under construction. In any case, UBCx project planning is not yet ready for final approval. So, stay tuned for UBCx AFE Phase 2. But we need to address our structural deficit before any of the AFE plan can be delivered.

Like the timelines for UBCx (ongoing business case) and BIRT (line on a map, maybe part of a future bridge???) seem incredibly far apart; my sense was that this would take maaany more years to figure out no?
