99% of the time any number of these incidents has a boat load of missing context that usually amounts to "one or two assholes making mountains out of mole hills." This is also why I've started to dislike blocklists and such on here. I have been made aware they get used for such abuse.

i generally just mute people who are annoying- plus I block a lot of people via blocklists so I think that gets rid of most of the cunts

the only time I've seen blocklists on this platform utilized for anything other than bad faith attempts at ostracizing people the creator just has some weird beef with are the ones that block like, us government accounts

I got put on an automatic blocklist for someone who follows AI/NFT/Crypto blocklists, which is a) funny and b) some middle school shit

Sean, those two blocklists were the first that I smashed the button to follow and it's made my Bluesky-experience 1000x better these past three years. Design a medal and ribbon for your bar I will make up some authority to award it to you.

Bsky has blocklists that random people can curate, sometimes they are run by insane people (I've been added to truly unhinged things in the past) they are good for vetting out spam etc when reliable. I wouldn't worry about being on one, those people likely aren't people you want to see you anyway.

I spent some time working on this list lately but still have a lot of work to do to get it remotely comprehensive. Feel free to recommend me other AI art blocklists to comb through.
My latest serious blocklist is "AI Slop Troughs" containing accounts whose output is mostly just AI slop-art. The list does not contain accounts who only occasionally post AI slop.

Their behavior is so embarrassing. Tbh all the accounts doing it belong on blocklists, let them shit all over each other instead.

LRT is why i dont trust blocklists or callout posts of any kind. you never know whos running a smear campaign and even the most "beneficial" callout post or list is able to be infiltrated by fucked up ppl who stalk and tear down the most vulnerable of our community.

that AI labeler moderation tool seems to have been disabled and ever since then I'm now seeing a bunch of AI-generated anime hentai garbage ._. and it seems all these accounts are coming up with new and clever ways to circumvent most people's mute/blocklists...

i like this option - esp when blocklists are being shared amongst the m@ga folks on here
it's tough as the block feature does help keep the overall hygiene on here pretty clean, but getting added to bogus block lists is very annoying
