The firehose is public, any jackass with an AI to train already has access to every single image. This is intentional, same reason why your list of people you block is public, built right into the system.

It's the "we have no input" part that's the problem.

The thing with bluesky using AI to moderate images isn't that it's training on them, think for 10 fucking seconds about it, but that they are saying "yeah we outsourced that shit entirely, we got no control over it. It says label, we label" etc

One thing I dislike is how a lot of purportedly lib/left online “activists” have picked up the same digital influence by-way-of inauthentic behavior and media manipulation tactics that worked for the right and then *use them against the same targets that the right does* expecting a different outcome

It's a good feeling to be farming someone's blocklist for my own blocklist and find a whole section there obviously farmed from my blocklist's additions from the day before. It means my work benefits more than just those who subscribe to my blocklists directly.

The exception to this is the Illuminati scammers, who are not only harmful as scammers, but also tend to perpetuate conspiracy theories by impersonating the subjects of such.

I don't normally deal with scammer-identification because I am more concerned with abusive trolls & I don't have the time or confidence to identify who is real & who is a scammer, but if you preemptively block me & all the popular anti-scam accounts, I can only assume you are a scammer.

if you're writing a sentence that sounds like eugenics but you go "oh that's fine to say because it's not a real person" (whatever that means) you may want to consider what made you okay with saying that
