When I try to explain to people that investors are generally very, very stupid people this is what I mean.
Video game stocks are suddenly crashing today with the launch of Google's Project Genie as investors think games will start magically getting made with AI

Real talk, if Thomas Paine were alive today he'd currently be in prison for sending "The Case for Bombing Their Homes" to his 500,000 Substack readers and then minutes after hitting the publish button attempting to purchase 57 tons of fertilizer
I think that overall substack has been a net negative for the American experiment, which is very funny because Thomas Paine would have loved substack

Why do Democrats wanna fund the DHS?

Because DHS is not just ICE and CPB. DHS includes the Coast Guard. It includes FEMA and it includes TSA among others.

That’s why this is so fucked

When I was translating Kon Satoshi, in order to understand him better I spent time reading his personal blog. I'll never forget him writing "They say what Aronofsky is doing is an "homage." I know my English isn't great, but I don't understand the difference between "homage" and being "ripped off."
