Snapshot of my similar post over on LinkedIn, where I'm a bit more succinct and cover a bit more ground.

I also realize it's nearly 5 PM on Friday (worst possible time to do this), but well that's just how these things go. 🤷

If the new Steam Machine is anywhere around the $500 mark it is definitely worth it to me as even a desktop replacement.

again i am perfectly fine with locking every one of Jeffrey Epstein's friends in prison, Democrat, Republican or Whatever.
Lest there be any insinuation that Dems spared their own. It would be tough for Kathy Ruemmler—Obama’s WH Counsel from 2011 to mid-2014—to come off looking worse in these docs the committee Dems released. oversightdemocrats.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

Well, fuck. Revoking any and all Peripeteia recommendations (and I wish I could un-back it on Kickstarter) based on the very thinly veiled transphobia from the dev (the first one in the screenshots here).

I hate this.
Acquaintance grabbed these screencaps. Idk if it's getting purged.

"Second stage is people rejecting conspiracy discourse" is genuinely hilarious, I gotta teach em a little about Yakub and maybe they'll change their tune

The thing people are ignoring when they react to the Future Class situation with "these entitled DEI freaks were too demanding!" is that the one thing we can ALL agree we wanted was simply a single email providing transparency about the end of the initiative, instead of a year of radio silence.

I appreciate that this article doesn't lose sight of the 200 human beings in our cohort doing tangible, meaningful work across many professional disciplines. The mismanagement of Future Class does not diminish our individual careers, and without TGA, we still have bright futures.

I always wanted the LEGO advent calendar.
everything is bonkers right now and we need a timeline cleanse. let’s play a game. if I handed you a blank check but you could ONLY spend it on an Advent calendar, what absurdly pricy collection of little treats are you buying yourself?

it's crazy to me that two items I needed desperately in 2020, a new workstation desktop PC and a used car, ended up being the same cost.
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.
