I think one of its messages is that giving up isn't an option

I have finished neither Hades nor Silksong but here I am trying to finish Baby Steps anyway

It is about the obstinate and futile impulse to keep going no matter how bad things get, yes

This is the Keza I remember from the Dark Souls mines from back in the old days on Twitter 😂

I made it out. I am unstoppable. No game can defeat me. No pursuit is too futile

Can I stop playing? No

Do I now feel infinitely worse after watching someone on YouTube manage this entire section, somehow, in 15 minutes? Yes

I have never hated a game as I hate Baby Steps. I have been stuck inside a sandcastle for hours. It has brought out my worst self, as I curse vehemently at a pallid loser sliding pathetically down a sandy slope for the 40th time. Every time one of his pallid feet slips off a ledge I hate him more

I have a fairly predictable Hyrule crest (with a bit of a twist from the artist)

I feel like someone has made this game specifically for me?? (I did my masters dissertation on Berlin's architectural memory, many years ago)

I've seen a lot of critics empathise with/relate to Nate. I can't relate to Nate! I'm a woman who has to deal with the world's Nates! Weirdly I have ended up feeling almost maternal towards him instead

Riley you could fly to Scotland, live here for several months AND go to baking school for less than that amount

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

Inclusivity through laziness is a pretty good summary of essentially all video game diversity in this time period

Hi Austin! Sorry this has taken me a hot minute - I've asked them to get in touch with you, would be delighted for you to read it

I played that game as a female character and there were some VERY strange scenes where I was being whipped for trying to sneak into some duke's (?) daughter's chambers. I'd gotten caught exploring the castle at night on a whim, I had no idea what was going on 😅
