This game has its hooks in me so bad. It’s a point and click adventure in the style of the games I was into in middle school (stuff like King’s Quest and Maniac Mansion) and it’s SO DAMN GOOD.

On Monday, Yacht Club Games delayed the much-anticipated upcoming game Mina the Hollower.

On Tuesday, I visited their studio and saw the game. It made for a rare glimpse at why a video game gets delayed and what "polish" actually means.

Why 'Mina the Hollower' Was Delayed
Yacht Club Games hasn't given a new release date, but the delay shouldn’t be more than a few months

The #MTGxTMNT Commander deck celebrates the power of teamwork. The deck will have one face Commander and five cards with the mechanic Partner, allowing you to have a second Commander in play.
This image shows the packaging for a precon commander "Turtle Power!" product. On the box is an illustration of four humanoid turtle ninjas in ready battle stances. The background is an illustrated cityscape at night.

This isn't to say AI is a fad and going to go away, like NFTs - it isn't.

But it is a bubble that will inevitably pop, leaving maybe just OpenAI, Google, Amazon etc winning and making money, while tens of thousands of businesses disappear over the AI mania, and the entire economy explodes. Yay.

The Bank of England has warned of a potential AI bubble pop, with economies lifted up by lofty expectations not expected to be met.

AI is not profitable, only benefits a tiny rich bubble, and we're burning the world for it - literally and figuratively.

Who benefits from the abolition of stamp duty land tax?

The first answer: people buying very expensive homes. Average saving for someone buying a £10m+ home is £1.7m. Average saving for someone buying a £250k-£500k home is £5k.

It's good to vent, to get it off your chest and share the nonsense you have to put up with in the public eye. Just because others have it bad, it too doesn't invalidate your feelings.

Relax and enjoy your week off. Mainly because we aren't playing this week.

HEY FOLKS!

Now I am back from Japan I wanted to do a proper *I'M LOOKING FOR WORK* post.

Reviews, previews, features, podcasts, on-camera stuff, online, in print... I can do it all! And have been doing it all for like six years!

If you have a beat on any opportunities, please let me know.

I think a lot of people in the UK, even those who are politically engaged, don't really consider political party membership as a thing that is 'for them', that they can actually participate in.

The Greens have genuine momentum right now and becoming a member is the easiest way to bolster that.
