I feel it should already be obvious to many people that it's possible to acknowledge Maduro is a corrupt dictator who oppresses his own people and oppose a US invasion of Venezuela too.

But sadly geopolitical discourse has gotten so much dumber since the early 2000s.

A Canadian publisher has called out the United States for using the image of a children's book character to brag about murdering unarmed people in international waters.
This is a decrepit gangster state.
This is the world of Donald Trump.
This is demonic.

Trump on Tim Walz: "I think the man is a grossly incompetent man. I thought that from the day I watched JD destroy him in the debate. I was saying, 'Who's more incompetent, that man or my man?' I had a man and he had a man. They were both incompetent."

Matt Gaetz, James O’Keefe, and Laura Loomer have replaced the Pentagon press corps.

I am not kidding. Look at the thread below.

One of the military’s most critical lines of accountability is now a closed-circuit conspiracy carousel.

6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.

Damn.

Tom was, all round, a scholar and a gent. My dad envied his quietly perfect artist’s wardrobe and treasured his friendship. As did I.

Travel well. I hope the wine’s okay.

I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution.

It's interesting to see how one's country is discussed abroad, but this take is very bad. If anything, the Frederiksen government is struggling with voters for being too soft on migration. Sure, Copenhagen gets a left leaning mayor, but many other communities moved to the right.
Denmark, voters punish PM Frederiksen’s Social Democrats shift to the right in local elections

Weighing on the disappointing SD result are the intransigent positions on immigration taken by the chief executive. And so Copenhagen goes to the left for the first time in over a century

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :
