This has largely been memory-holed but in Trump 1.0, he picked a big public trade fight with China. They retaliated by cutting off agriculture purchases, farmers got squeezed, Trump mailed them checks and had to go crawling back to Xi for a face-saving "deal".

Sound familiar?

ICE in Burnsville, MN followed a family home, broke down their door, and abducted 4 of them at gunpoint including the parents of a 7 year old and the husband of a pregnant woman. All of this occurred without a warrant for a home owned by a US citizen. (12/6/25)

Respectfully, Congresswoman, you voted with Republicans to strip due process from immigrants and to praise Trump's ICE. This year.

Now you're upset?

Votes have consequences. Minnesotans deserve better.
ICE agents followed a Burnsville family home from the store, failed to present a warrant and entered their home with guns drawn. They detained 4 legal citizens who presented documentation, leaving a 7 year-old without parents.

A seven-year-old. Let that sink in. Trump’s ICE is out of control.

Studying the earth is political. It always has been and it always will be. The difference is that there is now a political party made up of people whose worldviews are threatened by the very existence of a scientific process.
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

BREAKING: ‘This hurts’: UNL eliminates 4 programs despite faculty, student pleas
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

Ways earth science has been political:
-Studying climate of the American West brought the concept of Manifest Destiny into question and challenged notions of American expansionism in the 19th century.
-The discovery of Geological Time upended the Biblical timeline

I walked into a church today, was given essentially a private tour, had the organ played for me, argued with the tour guide, and STILL did not burst into flame?

Also USPS didn't loss money because it doesn't make money because it's not a business and if never makes money to begin with.

It did however deliver over 112.5 billion pieces of mail in 2024 and that doesn't even include packages.
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Man, there's LAYERS to this special based off a Gene Autry song from a poem written for Montgomery freakin' Ward.
Once again, I'm watching a story about a young runaway who had been mocked and largely cast out by his family and peers because of what he was despite being talented as hell only to return home and only being lauded because he was suddenly useful to everyone.

A great example of why you should never write off Staten Island: ICE agents’ tires were slashed while staging to disappear New Yorkers.

The agent in the video isn’t fully visible but looks like Brendan Cuni. If so and this is his vehicle, he swapped license plates to avoid detection.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.
