I do. I don't like plugging it too much, and I never expect much from it.

Just gives me something to aim for in the foreseeable future while I'm being a caregiver. I keep myself busy in the meantime.

But it is nice to dream.

I feel robbed.

How come the whole song wasn't in the video?

I like this version of Virtual Insanity. The video was nice, but the radio edit was adjusted to match it, and so much was lost.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll take it to the bridge.

Thinking about The Roches lately. Lovely group of talented ladies.

Still kind of rude that Wikipedia did what they never did though. Seriously, giving their ages? Rude.

At least they didn't give out their phone numbers.

The fact there wasn't this feeling of great urgency on Netflix's part at the start of this is why Netflix winning is kinda stunning.
It may have been purposeful smokescreen, sure, but if it wasn't?
SOMETHING caused them to slam the gas and put the money up to price David out...

Real talk:

This photo looks like a promo pic for a prestige French TV crime drama, Sous le Couvert des Gilets Jaunes (Under The Guise of The Yellow Vest).

I'm sure someone at Netflix is scripting it as we speak.
This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.

I thought it would be fun to take nostalgic 80s sound clips and turn them into proper songs. This Touchstone Pictures movie intro reminds me of weekend sleepover movie nights🍿

Dude is in the same pocket as John K. or Kanye - like I get what they did for their art forms, despite myriad character flaws, but they rejected every off-ramp to actually retaining the respect their contributions to the medium were otherwise owed by being unbelievably toxic by any fair measure.

Same with Doug TenNapel
Same with JK Rowling
Same with so many others like them

They are all creatives cut from the same diseased cloth who used their talents to selfishly and cruelly harm others and they should be acknowledged as being worthy of having their creations thoroughly spat upon.

He was foisted upon an entire generation of marginalized artists and women who saw him for exactly what he was while white artist libs praised his talents and what he used them for to high heaven and no:

I am not nor will i EVER be down with that, him, or his work.

He is not a nice person. He is not a good person. He has his place in history and sometimes people who have earned thier place in history are fundamentally shitty people at thier very core. He was a rotten ghoul then and he is a rotten ghoul now.

When he does pass, may his memory be an irritant 🙃

Reading this and both understanding and teaching the Underground Comix era… yeah, this is 100% on point.
Every time some ol boy of comics was like “you’re a fascist. You’re worse than the comics code” bc I & my peers explained exactly *how* we were disquieted by gendered sexualisation in cultural products… I knew they were talking with shitted tongues. Don’t doubt yourself; the powerful lie

Teaching a comics history class and getting to his work in Underground Comics was a chore because you can’t discuss anything from that period without discussing him. The best thing I did in terms of teaching who he was was as simple as reading his own words to the class. They all balked.
every so often I will be put in a situation where I look at Robert Crumb art. It is rarely out of my own choice and never to my enjoyment

The mini zipcraft were really fun! Really so happy with how this entire model came out, and that I was able to make a model celebrating one of my fav shows!

This model was made for a commission, they were kind enough to let me post them on my site as well!

Sigh. Are we still doing this?

When I was a kid, every news story about comics began with "Bam! Pow!" because boomers only knew about Adam West Batman.

But a 2025 France 24 report about accountability for sexual assault at Angoulême???

This is the least "Bam! Pow!" comics story you could report.

Scott Bradley's first documented cartoon score, for Flip the Frog in 1931. He was a gem from the start.

(Bradley supplanted Carl Stalling on Flip; his scores were assumed to be Stalling's for years, including by me, even though the style is a little different. >

The woman she beat to start that reign, Willow Nightingale.

There will always be doubt about her greatness, especially how she won the Strong Women's Championship against Mercedes only to lose the TBS Championship to her.

Willow deserves a redemption arc, a solid win, and a lengthy reign.

I am really digging these absolutely amazing extended versions of iconic sound logos from great TV and movie brands from @dreamkid83.com.

Seriously incredible and era-faithful works that truly rock and take me back to the days of my youth.
I remember seeing this DIC Entertainment bumper jingle at the end of most kids TV shows back in the day. It always made my sisters and I crack up laughing 😂
