The particular irony people tend to miss is that the majority of artists making art about violence and abuse are former VICTIMS of said abuse, not the perpetrators. Art is a fundamental tool for humans to process and understand their lived reality. Yes it can be ugly. Because life is ugly

So disappointing to come across grown ass adults (even artists!) sincerely believing that some types of fiction/art are "too upsetting" to be allowed to exist. Please please please you can't afford to be this short sighted. Do 10 minutes of research about nazis and degenerate art or something
