In a new lawsuit filed against Trump by state AGs, a family with a trans kid shares she died by suicide last month citing fears Trump would deny her access to gender-affirming care. "Her parents have expressed fear...that what happened to their daughter does not happen to other children."

could move to Canada because she was fearful of new restrictions on transgender youth and
worried about losing access to gender-affirming care. In January 2025, she took her life. After
the Order issued, her parents expressed that the outlook for transgender futures looks scary and
shared fears of what ending gender-affirming care would have meant for their daughter’s access
to therapy, puberty-delaying medication, hormones, and hope of surgery. Her parents have
expressed fear for the many lives who depend on gender-affirming care and that what happened

If indeed Democracy Itself is at stake; if we are to believe a genuine fascist coup is happening, that all future elections are cancelled, that millions of lives are at stake, I don't think it's a good idea to say the Democrats can't do anything to stop it because they encountered a locked door.

New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.

One of the worst things about this wave of, genocidal anti-trans hate is that you can’t really confide in cis people about it. I feel like no matter how carefully or eloquently I explain to them how bad it is, how insanely cruel it all is, they just wouldn’t care. It’s exhausting.

True but… we are seeing the White House fire anyone even remotely connected to “diversity.” It’s meant specifically to be applied as broadly as possible while giving the WH plausible deniability.
The White House didn't say "stop teaching about the Tuskegee Airmen when you do US history." The White House said "stop doing DEI and wokeness," and the military interpreted it as "stop saying the Tuskegee Airmen were heroes, and maybe stop teaching about them altogether."
