REMINDER:

1. If you're on Substack, get off of Substack.

2. If you want to start a Substack, DON'T.
A thread for getting off Substack 🧵:

1. First, migrate your archive and subscriber list to the new platform. I went to buttondown, which was the most affordable for me as a small letter, not a lot of paid subscribers. It's not as slick of an interface, but it does everything I need.

NHS services will be cut, less drugs will be prescribed, you will suffer.

You have to be 18 to get a GRC.

But the Guides say they’re kicking out trans girls – under 18s – as a result. It doesn’t track. So why are they doing it?

£8 million in total is just under 23k per council. Enough to fund a home for maybe two families for a year (minus household bills).

Better than nothing, obviously... but so very, very far from being anywhere near enough it's an embarrassment.

Rather than give informed, insightful and structured responses to questions, they’d rather try to derail those they are threatened by.

Very telling tonight on Question Time how much the Labour minister absolutely did not want me to talk.

Every time I even began a sentence he started to try and distract me.

It's not going to work on anyone.

While I think most literate people can be insightful and articulate in text form, if given enough time to collect their thoughts, it is a rare talent to be able to do that verbally, in real time, while responding to interruptions, hostile jibes or pointed questions and STILL get your point across.
