This! My microwave produces an annoyingly long chorus even if I hit stop and open the door when it hit zero. Why does that bother me so much?
there should be a consumer electronics review site called does it beep dot com and the sole criteria it uses to judge kitchen appliances, cars, washing machines, etc is whether it beeps at you and if so how annoying the beeps are

Same. I worked from Palermo for two months and am actively planning to go back to Europe. What feels different now, for me, is the dystopia to the south and, despite watching that, 45% of my country-folk voting for our mini Trump. I've lost trust in my nation.
Normally when I come back from Europe I have a few days of vacation blues and then back to normal routine, but this time is different. This time shifted things for me and I can't quite put my finger on it. Ive always admired the simplicity of life there so maybe it hits different now that I'm older?
