HIS SIX MONTH OLD STOPPED BREATHING!

A father was getting his kids out of the neighborhood because it was unsafe & ICE threw flash bangs & tear gas at his car with children & a baby inside!

His 6 month old stopped breathing & all the children were hospitalized!

"Everything costs more because the algorithm says so"

@vassb.bsky.social is really on one about personalized pricing. And she's right. It's predatory, and it makes it more difficult for us all to navigate the world.

It should be illegal.

Listen: I don't really care about the judgement of a bunch of hicks who find driving on the 401 scary.
Going to be one of those days where Torontonians struggle to deal with a modest snowstorm and the rest of the country snickers

This guy disabled replies and quotes so I'll handle it this way. To repeat a point I hinted at days ago, one reason Mamdani can act quickly is because New York has (a) a single-tier city-county govt and (b) a highly centralized strong Mayor system. The majority of North American cities have neither.

I'm looking to speak with people who are or recently have been job hunting for tech jobs in Canada for a story I am working on. I'm keen to hear about your experience with the current state of the tech job market.

Feel free to drop into my DMs.

Powerful USSR energy here.
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

The President telling a prime time network news host effectively "I got you this job" is not something you see every day.
DOKOUPIL: When I travel the country, they tell me they don't feel it because grocery prices are up--

TRUMP: They're going to now. I've only been here for 11 months. I inherited a mess. If she got in, you wouldn't have this job right now.

Exactly this. We already have plenty of evidence against Trump personally! I'm sure there are horrors in the files, and he's clearly annoyed by it, but in the meantime he is executing his plan. People held up signs saying "mass deportations" and now we see the mass deportations. It was not a secret.
One of the things that gets me about them people who are like “they are ending the constitution to distract from the Epstein files, don’t fall for it” is that nobody in power cares about little girls.

Pretty damming indictment of the hollowness of Scott Adams' work that this post has to use another, better artist's work to try to create any kind of emotional resonance.

And it still doesn't really make you feel anything.

Is there a number of words where we can definitively say that a sentence is too long?

If a sentence is longer than 45 words long, is that a summary conviction of a language crime? Longer than 40 words?

(Setting aside certain literary writing that intentionally breaks the rules for effect.)

Hey, anybody I know on here have experience with nonfiction book editing and/or ghostwriting?

Looking to help out a friend find some info for an interesting project. Could turn into a good gig for a freelancer.

I'm sure there are some people in my orbit on here who work in that space.
