INBOX: Rep. Thomas Massie, who has enraged Trump for his insistence on blocking tariffs and releasing the Epstein files according to the law, just issued what is widely known among Chinese dissidents as "a declaration of no suicidal intent" (不自殺聲明), a sign of extreme distress.

interesting to think that revolutionary era americans understood themselves as making a break with the “old world” and establishing a new civilization. and crucially, this new civilization rested on republican self-government, not “sovereignty.”
The Rubio speech really is appalling, and if you haven’t read it yet, you should.

A Kamala Harris appointed AG would not start talking about stock numbers when asked about the Epstein files.

idk how to rebuild society for this but i don't think people should be allowed to talk like this without it going very poorly for them
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

CNN: "Another photograph - these are notes AG Bondi brought to the hearing today. This shows a list of Rep. Jayapal's search history. Lawmakers are allowed to go to a DOJ facility to search unredacted files. We learned from this photo that the searches are apparently being tracked & read by the DOJ"

one thing that comes across in these clips is that bondi is totally out of her depth. just an absolute lightweight. barely sentient.
holy shit -- Bondi's new tactic is refusing to answer Democratic questions, then using time during the next Republican questioner to smear the previous Democratic member and accuse them of being complicit in violence crimes

Bondi should be impeached based solely on her conduct today. Talking money when the topic is Epstein victims should earn her contempt of Congress and disbarment as well. She is a disgrace to the legal profession.

I feel so insane when I hear Dems say we should push for ICE to need warrants to enter homes like the *FOURTH GOD DAMN AMENDMENT TO THE GOD DAMN CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES DOESN'T ALREADY EXIST* do you all read our founding documents or are those a joke to you too like they are to MAGA?

the thing is it’s remarkably easy to live your life in a way that you never find yourself saying this to a congressional committee and these guys can’t even clear that bar
VAN HOLLEN: Did you in fact make the visit to Epstein's private island?

LUTNICK: I did have lunch w/ him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me as were my 4 children and nannies. We had lunch on the island. That's true. For an hour. We left with all of my children

LUTNICK: I don't know

K: Well you need to look, bc it does. What's the % of Americans who live below poverty level?

L: I don't know

K: It's around 11%. It's been constant

If another elected Democrat tweets about how ICE is going to be at the polls intimidating people, the next sentence better be, "and here's what we're planning to do about it." And please stop bringing a rulebook to a knife fight. This isn't 2015.

Alabama has the worst maternal mortality in the United States at 60 deaths per 100K live births. For reference, California has 18 deaths per 100K live births.

But Dr. Oz thinks it’s “cool” that American citizens do not have access to good reproductive healthcare in the wealthiest nation in history.
Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."

It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.
