AFGE Local 12, locked out of my job.
This is what pretentious writers like me refer to as a "raison d'être."
Smugglers, money launderers and sanctioned people once relied on diamonds, gold and artwork. Now, criminals have a far more practical alternative: stablecoins, a cryptocurrency tied to the U.S. dollar that exists largely beyond traditional financial oversight.

Hakeem Jeffries Calls For Execution Of Central Park Five
December 4, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Henry Cuellar is a crook that essentially caucuses with the Republicans and gets better treatment from the Dem establishment than progressives.

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON'T VOTE AND YOU SHOULD NOT BLAME THEM.
Jeffries claims the charges against Cueller were "very thin" and says Trump's pardon was "exactly the right outcome"

I am laughing at this even though at this very moment my 88-year-old father is going through surgery to deal with a broken femur 5,000 miles away from me.

Lol this is awesome
BREAKING: President Trump declared that all of former President Biden’s pardons are now “invalid.” There is no legal mechanism for presidents to revoke their predecessors’ pardons but if Trump is taken seriously, thousands could be thrown into legal chaos.

It was entirely predictable that this unqualified boorish narcissistic drunkard would jeopardize our national security. And yet 50 Republican Senators and the Vice President all went out of their way to make sure he got this position. For what?

The blood is on their hands and we must never forget.
Posting stupid memes after being accused of murder is the response of a sneering, spoiled punk who has been caught doing wrong and is now daring the local fuzz to take him in and risk the anger of his rich dad—a role fulfilled by Donald Trump, in this case.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

We Recifenses are megalomaniacs. We say the Beberibe and Capibaribe Rivers meet in Recife to form the Atlantic Ocean. It's a surreal place in a surreal country, and I'm amazed at how much of that KMF was able to distill into this picture. I'm so glad it is resonating with wider audiences.
"Once in a while, you see a movie that doesn’t feel made, but extracted from a dreaming mind. It won’t go to you and hand over its meanings. You have to go to it." I reviewed The Secret Agent, my favorite film of 2025. Haunting, beautiful, profound. www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-...

How is morale at the BLS? I can't speak for everyone, but this is not great!

Note: anything above 1 colony forming unit (cfu) per milliliter is bad. In August the highest number was 16 cfu/mL.

Ordinarily, I think price ceilings are bad.

But today, when companies can exploit individual consumers' data to tailor specific prices based on each their maximum willingness to pay? Something's gotta give. This asymmetry can only be corrected by regulation.

We need to confront the fact that law enforcement attracts the absolute worst among us.
Emmanuel, a 15-year-old with intellectual disabilities, wandered away from his mom’s fruit stand in October.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.

God damn it.
Whoa. An absolute legend that brought unique energy to every movie where he appeared.

He first made an impression on me in Ace Ventura thirty years ago, and he stole a scene most recently in the Brazilian thriller The Secret Agent.

Rest in power.
