Are they pressing the Jimmy Saville button now? Hahahaha!
This is IMO fully consistent with Sir Keir being exactly what he appears to be: a clueless bonnet ornament on a car filled with crooks and shit gangsters, forever staring directly ahead, oblivious to the horrors behind.

My thoughts are that my basic political requests were always 1) less deliberately horrible, cruel and vicious political/media culture 2) more and better public services and 3) far less complicity in America’s horrifying wars. I note this has been regarded as insanely extreme ideological lunacy.

wait a sec, that's john woodcock! a man who resigned from the labour party right as he was being investigated for sexual harrassment, allowing him to claim it was for principled reasons of not liking corbyn. who was then given a peerage by boris johnson for being sufficiently right wing.
Yes, what if we moved the goalposts again so that this abysmal piece of shit, this walking affront to the democratic process, could just jail anyone he wants rid of? Much to think about

We saw this with the frothing GC reaction the Elliot Page. He didn't come out as trans until he was in his 30s and the transphobic weirdos and all their sock accounts started crying, screaming, throwing up.
The stealth transphobic rhetoric simultaneously argues;

1. That younger people must wait to know they are sure
2. That older people have waited too long to transition and be socially accepted.

The end game is the elimination of trans people.
Alternatively, if you come out as a child with the support of your parents, you are able to experience this adjustment within a context of loving support. Plus your appearance is pretty easy to adjust, bc young people look more alike.

The game you are about to play is a product of its time. It may depict the PS3, which was commonplace in society. These depictions were wrong then and are wrong today.

"Sure, ICE is bad, but we need to deport illegal immigrants"

No you don't.

If immigration enforcement leads to concentration camps and roving death squads, maybe it's time to just get rid of the concept of illegal immigration entirely. You've tried it, it's a bad idea in practice, so bin it.

This is incredibly funny to try because even if it *was* true, then it would mean Streeting was defending Mandleson in September for the love of the game.

The public are IMO fully entitled to ask “why was this abysmal cunt everyone hates ever put in charge of anything” and the unfortunate answer is: he told maybe fifty of the country’s most awful journalists exactly what they wanted to hear, with no regard for what was real. And that’s all it takes.

Although the party’s enormous membership wanted him to stay and it was the MPs who looked a right bunch of cunts, back then. Now everyone hates Sir Keir and McSweeney but can’t get rid, because the other potential leaders have been stitched up via factional bullshit or are just as badly compromised.

The latest disclosures make clear that Epstein was different things for different people. For some, he was a fixer; a lubricant who assisted public figures to transition into lucrative private sector post-political work. That idea of politics—a means to personal enrichment—is Mandelson's entire MO.

Not just that nobody pushed questions: nobody wants to hear answers. They didn’t want to hear Peter and his cronies are crooks; they didn’t want to hear that e.g. losing Scotland meant the Labour right was fucked, probably forever. They didn’t want to hear the problem is chronic underinvestment.
Thinking back over five years of me asking: what exactly is Mandelson’s role in this project? And the closest I ever got to an answer was people saying Yes it’s weird, somebody should totally look into that, but apparently nobody pressing them for an answer.
Mandelson would never have been exposed by the British media if it wasn't for the US DOJ dumping all those files. They would have assisted in covering up his role instead, like they've been doing for the past 30 years. They knew what he was and they kept quiet for decades.

If this story is accurate, then all those stories about Keir Starmer meticulously selecting only the highest-quality candidates in 2024 were horseshit and, in reality, we are now governed by a crop of MPs personally selected by the financially compromised ‘best pal’ of a child sex trafficker.
Huge story in @theipaper.com

"[Mandelson] was very involved in all the details; I think he enjoyed it. He was involved in all the personalities and the mechanics including asking the question of who do we want in which seat"

Probably a breach of GDPR laws too ...

As an historian I often wonder how people learned nothing from the twentieth century and how we have fallen into the mess and rise of fascism yet again and here we are. People simply *don't care* that they are in a military alliance with and dependant on a fascist state when capitalism requires it.
So Polanski wants to leave NATO,cut Defence spend & distance ourselves from USA who we rely on for essential defence apparatus& intelligence.
Then the tariffs will rise our steel industry will collapse(even more essential for defence),car ìndustry collapse 1000's jobs lost,no £££ for public services
