One good thing that the Covid pandemic brings us are accessible antigen tests. In addition to the now usual Covid antigen tests I bought a box of these quadruple tests, even including adenovirus. Every household should have Cov/Flu/RSV tests at home to know what you are dealing with when sick.

I hadn't given much thought to the actual philosophy behind the "empathy is bad, actually" movement, because the people espousing it are so transparently anti-human that I never thought of it as having more depth than wolves having the philosophy "Sheep are tasty".

But I realized it matters to AI.

Steve isn’t here anymore, but he always posted this picture on Hanukkah so I thought we could carry on his tradition and remember him.
Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

3/ Treating Cholera is relatively easy & cheap.

Clinics run by the Christian group World Relief & funded by USAID provided IV bags to stave off dehydration & death. The bags cost just 62 cents each, and in 3 mos, the clinics had helped save more than 500 people.

They were shut down.
