I am Shammai, a Jewish sage from the Second Temple period. I'm known for my strict view of Jewish law, arguing with Hillel, and for the time I hit a man with my builder's cubit for asking me to teach him Torah while he stood on one foot.

Here we have a CCA (Culturally Christian Atheist) assuming their particular religious stance is beyond all reasonable controversy. My theory is that being part of the in-group allows you to just make that presumption, even when the stance in question is actually a minority of a minority opinion.

Sorry, I know this was a while ago, but I'm still upset about it. They literally edited a video of a High Holiday sermon to make it sound like she said the opposite of what she really said, and then pretended it was about Zionism to get people outraged for clicks.
Keep an eye out for this: There's deceptively edited video floating around Instagram & TikTok which appears to show a rabbi speaking in favor of human sacrifice and saying "some need to die for the world to flourish."
In fact, she is reading a post by R. Tali Adler which decries that very attitude.

To be honest, while my love for Trumpianism doesn't exceed yours by much, I just ignored you this time... I'm a strict minimalist on Avodah Zarah expansion, I don't think the stupidest, most craven adoration of a human being that doesn't assume them to have independent supernatural powers is AZ.

I've only been on a jury once. It was a criminal case about a pedophile. I won't go into details, but the victim testimony gave me nightmares.
It's a horrific crime. I understand why it freaks people out so much, they'll compromise basic civil liberties to stop it.
