The legislation around public filming is clearly from a time when you knew it was obvious (i.e. someone was pointing a camera at you with the flash on), but now we’re getting shite like Meta Glasses which don’t have a visible way to let people know if they’re filmed or not
In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.

It's genuinely fucking evil. Like, think of what this woman has experienced as an 80 YEAR OLD TRANS WOMAN - the transformations she must have seen in both herself and in society, the rights she has had to fight for, everything she's won, only to have it all snatched away at the last fucking second.
This part is *infuriating*. This cis woman heard an 80 year old trans woman say, 'This is the only place I've been respected as a woman IN MY LIFE.'

I think they might have to pass legislation but I'm not sure that's definitely necessary because even changing the mood music would help. Instead there's just a cowardly silence.

I'm all for empathy & understanding of the awkward position organisations have been put in by the Supreme Court but I don't agree that Girl Guides had to ban Trans girls right now. Surely they could do what most are doing; say they're waiting for the EHRC Code of Conduct to confirmed by Parliament?
