On the bathrooms issue, no one wants to acknowledge the fact most public bathrooms are already discriminatory because most places focus on putting in as many urinals and standard cubicles as possible first, with wheelchair etc access as an afterthought if they can fit it in.
It affected gendered bathrooms and anti discrimination laws but a loss of protections doesn’t affect people just doing the right thing as decent human beings.
Guess what though. You don’t need to discriminate. You don’t need gendered bathrooms.
Just be a decent fucking human being for once.

We've been saying this the whole time. Transphobia is fascism, and KJK is a literal nazi. If she makes the Scouts "boys only" again (as if it ever really was) she'll campaign to abolish the Guides and force all girls to do preparatory classes to be housewives.
I was one of my local Scouts first intake of girls. It was the 90’s. I can’t believe (well, actually I can) how far backwards anti-trans obsessives want to take us.

Put yourself in the position of a CEO of a small / medium charity. It's an impossible dilemma. I don't think most people are actually with the TERFs, but there is only a financially ruinous way to find out. It is a shite situation. But it is the situation.

If I was head of the WI and an 80 year old trans woman told me it was the only place she'd ever felt respected as a woman, and the British State told me she wasn't allowed to bebin the WI any more, I'd be putting out a public statement declaring the WI to now be an armed guerilla organisation.
