The irony of all of this is that the fact none of this shit led to rioting in Easton and St Paul's is testament to how tirelessly and effectively Judah Adunbi worked as a race relations advisor for the cops.
December 5, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Also a few months after the cops who tasered him was clear and a few weeks after they racially profiled him again, they then confected a load of racially aggravated charges against him for allegedly racially abusing a white guy in a budgetting shop.

The cops actually released this video as if its a good thing, and it's fucking terrifying.
December 5, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Judah Adunbi. It got even worse than that, and he still has partial facial paralysis from the injury.
This is the police force that tasered *their own race relations officer* outside his home a few years ago because they mistook him for another Black guy, then cleared the cop of all wrongdoing before racially profiling him *again* a few months later.

It does, the Met adopted an actual policy of using cars to knock suspects off mopeds in 2018.

Up-to-date stats aren't available, but if ASP have followed the trend from 2022 to (nearly 2026) as they were up to 2022, there's a non-zero possibility there is now a higher percentage of taser officers in ASP than in the Met. That is fucking insane.
December 5, 2025 at 2:13 PM
The number and proportion of ASP officers armed with tasers is well above the national average, and increasing year on year, along with the number of deployments and firings of tasers. There is clearly a culture of taser use within ASP that is considerably more trigger-happy than other forces.
December 5, 2025 at 2:11 PM
You'd think.
December 5, 2025 at 2:04 PM
I've seen them pull tasers on groups before, and the guidance for them very clearly states they are only ever to be used on specific individuals. They routinely misuse them. They just shouldn't be allowed them at all.

Thanks I hate it.
December 5, 2025 at 1:55 PM
It's just an absolute failure of duty of care.
December 5, 2025 at 1:55 PM
It's literally that. Trying to expedite the process of getting them under control. This is presumably someone who was either mentally unwell, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or strong medication from the ambulance, or suffering an injury causing cognitive impairment.
"Avon and Somerset police said the on-duty officer had “attempted to bring him to safety to reduce the risk to him and other members of the public”."

YOU USED A WEAPON THAT CAUSES SUDDEN LOSS OF ALL MOTOR CONTROL ON SOMEONE ON A FUCKING MOTORWAY, WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN?
How did I fucking know just upon reading the headline it was going to be Avon and Somerset Police *again*?
December 5, 2025 at 1:54 PM
The cop responsible should not only be immediately fired but charged with manslaughter.
December 5, 2025 at 1:44 PM
I'm not just imagining it am I? ASP do just fucking *love* using tasers in wildly dangerous ways. Like *tasering someone on a motorway* - are you fucking mental?
December 5, 2025 at 1:41 PM
It goes through four other forces areas and passes very close to three others who could conceivably respond in emergencies.

The M5 goes from Birmingham to Devon.
