Now of course the fun question is whether the Wings are going to take Azzi Fudd #1 to reunite her with Paige Bueckers.

The year I most got into football was because that's what was available on Sunday afternoons on the antenna.

Then we moved and the antenna didn't get as many channels and streaming services became more of a thing so we gave up on the antenna entirely and the NFL gave me good reasons to not like it.
I’m just thinking of this because I’m watching football while not paying anybody a penny: Do Americans know that you can (still!) watch HD digital broadcasts of all the major networks over the air, for free, complete with programming guide data, just by hooking up an antenna to your TV?

It's that time of year when Americans set up quaint, walkable Christmas villages in their living rooms, dreaming of living in such a cozy place.

Meanwhile, they'll show up to city council meetings to fiercely oppose any plan that would actually build that kind of car-lite community in real life.

Happy first regular weekend GO Train on the Kitchener line! Considering most folks had to get up before 7 to get ready to be here, and that it's the first day, I'm blown away at the turnout. Platform was crowded; my guess is 150-200 people.

As I saw this I was also listening to @paris.nyc quickly explain the story as a tangent on Intelligent Machines, but I still don't entirely get it and I'm pretty sure I'm ok with that.
for those whose eyes have as yet been spared, it seems that "bamboo" and "harvest" are good word to put on a seven day mute. I do not know what they mean in context and very much do not wish to

"I think we should have more meat from farms that refuse all safety protocols" is a weird line to declare war with a federal government over.

I have made a dangerous to my health discovery: the grad student cafe does buy one get one free on their baked goods on Friday afternoon if they have too much stock. I don't know how common it is, but it has happened to me twice and it makes my temptation to eat too many baked goods even stronger.

Leaving Twitter/X is a lot like leaving a toxic relationship. The more time passes, the more you realize how correct that decision was, especially when you learn what that person/site continued to do after you left.

It's a censorship engine designed to promote ideas that Elon Musk likes and suppress ideas that Elon Musk does not like. I really don't get why this evident fact - that Musk openly admits! - is so hard for so many people to understand
An X user asks Elon Musk why they’re seeing tweets from left-wing lawmakers.

Musk: “Because we are failing very badly with the recommendations algorithm. Doing my best to address this.”

As a writer for The Beaverton, I realize that it's easy to read the headlines and move on, but this piece by my boss slash colleague Luke is very very funny and I highly endorse it.
Q - Why, given all the terrible things happening in the world, do people care about this?

A - Micro-analysis: They see it as an example of government overreach and bureaucratic cruelty towards an independent farm. Macro-analysis: The world is getting dumber every day.

I get why there are decorum rules to limit personal attacks. Those are good and important. But when you're discussing a specific new instance in a long line of corruption scandals, you kinda have to describe it as corrupt?

This seems a lot closer to reasonable than the previous reporting which suggested the league would give some significant raises but was firmly against any kind of revenue sharing formula. Of course there's lots of room for the devil to be in the details, but I'm still seeing this as good news.
