you want quaint Bethlehem stories and little babies, NO, I’m going to talk about the POWER OF DEATH RULING THE COSMOS, and GOD’S INFILTRATION OF ENEMY TERRITORY

Unfortunately, all the sports I do still care about are broadcast exclusively on TSN or Sportsnet, so we do have an Internet TV plan.

That's a quick way to take away that we have some public transit that is actually cool to watch go by.

The "Poilievre's campaign is full of shit" line is so obvious it doesn't seem fair.

That's the same way I would have validated anything grabbed from an old forum. You can never assume it's correct.

That's in contrast to something like "summarize this long article I haven't read for me." There's no way to validate that it's correct unless you've also read the article.

No, they're not, but it's often a better starting point than what I come up with after hours of scouring outdated forum posts. A good thing with generated code it is that it validatable; you slow down to understand it, plug it in a safe developer environment, run tests, and know whether it works.

Oh no, it's not searching. It's generating text based on statistical calculations from large data sets, which is actually more useful for the kinds of complicated problems that don't have one site with a clear answer. So it has replaced searching for those kinds of problems for me.

I now mostly think of it as a better search engine for complicated problems. Instead of running through 20 search term combinations and a bunch of 12-year-old forum posts and trying to sort out how to put the pieces together, explain all the parameters upfront in one query, follow up as necessary.

Our transit service here also has a prerecorded announcement reminding people to not disrupt others with sound from their devices, but that only gets played when the driver hears it happening and doesn't seem as effective.

On the last one, Cineplex theatres here in Canada before every single movie have a little animated video about the 5 types of movie ruiners, which includes a few categories of phone use, seat stealers, and talkers. Straight up shaming them before they have a chance to do it.

The Ottawa occupation and other vaccine related convoys were largely driven by misinformation, but I do understand why you could have a visceral reaction against "the government is bringing negative consequences against me if I don't accept a change to my body."

This, though? Really? This?
