We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.
The frigid Twin Cities temperatures will hurt the homeless; so do not gloat about the impact on ICE without also stepping up here:

they were getting hassled by ICE the other week as well (as our Indigenous relatives have been targeted heavily by ICE as well) & AIM patrols have utilized this space as a hub during community safety patrols.

Pow Wow Grounds coffee shop, which regularly becomes a community hub when Minneapolis is in need, are still in need. People doing ICE watch/rapid response are using it to organize, rest, and refuel. Often for free when people donate food and coffee, for those who can't afford to buy from the shop
