The jobs/unemployment report for October was supposed to be released today. It was not.

The September report, now over a month late, still hasn't been released.

With record-setting layoffs continuing at an accelerating rate, the national unemployment rate hasn't been updated in two months.

I've been browsing prepper subs because I'm trying to decide if I want to go all in on the Weck system and there's an alarming amount of dudes there who seem to think all you need to survive the apocalypse is a handgun and a potted bean bush
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer
