Okay, in honor of The Two Towers, here’s me by the location where they found the burnt orc mound, and the version that a redditor made for me after my post hit the front page.

Bonus points if you do not reply to this with the fun fact.

Ever since I learned how to make eggnog from scratch I have had an extremely deep appreciation for the store bought stuff.

How the fuck are these Yuri accounts still appearing?

Anyway, here’s a block list. Merry early Christmas.

Just a reminder that Christmas was invented by polar bears to sell more Coke.

Shadowfax kicking Denethor onto the pyre is the best part of Return of the King

Lord of the Rings Extended Edition marathon continues/ends today, so here's a recap.

For Fellowship of the Ring, we had Hobbiton:
The only pics from New Zealand that I finished editing, even though it’s been almost 2 years 😬😬😬

If you ever have to replace your Christmas tree stand, I highly recommend getting a rotating one. It makes decorating the tree sooooo much easier.

Anyone know if the trails at Highland Golf Course (NOT Hyland) have been groomed yet? No updates on Skinnyski so far.

How did I never realize that Ron Swanson’s mom is played by my queen Paula Pell

My favorite part of Two Towers is when the burning ent runs into the water after they break the dam.

Yes, it beats out the Sam and Frodo part at the end.

“What can men do against such reckless hate?”

“Ride out and meet them.”

I wonder how differently LotR would’ve turned out if Middle Earth had therapists. Like would Faramir have gotten over that his dad hates him? Would Denethor have been normal? Would Grima not be so gross?

I miss having pre-lit Christmas trees.

Mad respect to past me for taking the time to label each light string with how many lights are in it and also separate them by tree.

No one is more organized and methodical than the version of me taking down the Christmas decorations.

I think the extended edition of The Two Towers should’ve included a realtime enactment of the entire entmoot.

Okay so it’s not that I *dislike* Two Towers, but it is by far the weakest of the movies. Would it be cheating to just skip to the end so I get the scene with Sam and Frodo?

I’m not actually going to do that, but Frodo is tempting me.

Okay I did end up reading it. This was a lot of words to say, “Carter got complacent.” I ended up ranking him first because I care about bike infrastructure, but Kaohly deserved the win.
"The St. Paul DFL did not hold endorsing caucuses, so there were no spring conventions to organize for."

why doesn't the star tribune know there is no st paul DFL to even hold caucuses and conventions? they don't exist!

How Melvin Carter lost the St. Paul mayoral election
The two-term mayor started too late and had too weak of a ground game. Kaohly Her capitalized.

Small biz Saturday request: I need a bunch of felt and fun fabric for this project. What’s a good non-Michael’s and definitely not Hobby Lobby place where I can get those things?
Finished prototype + cat for scale. Almost ready to move back to fun fabric. Might try an invisible zipper instead of hand sewing the last side.

Tips for anyone who wants to try this: the smaller the seam allowance, the better. Clip your corners. Iron seam allowance to one side instead of flat.

Lots of things technically wrong with this photo of last night’s sunset over the farm, but I like it a lot and the colors actually look true to life. Nifty fifty coming in clutch as always.
