The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.

Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.

The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food.

Things are going great.

The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika as a hate symbol. The policy similarly downgrades the classification of nooses and the Confederate flag.

Instead, the Coast Guard will classify the Nazi-era insignia as “potentially divisive”
