Remember: Ronald Reagan killed twice as many American men than the Viet Cong in half the time, and worked assiduously to stop members of Congress in the public from mitigating harms and fatalities.

Still what a wild statistic bsky.app/profile/bolt...
An astonishing 80 percent of the Louisiana's death sentences between 1976 and 2015 were later reversed.

A judge recently vacated the conviction of Chris Duncan, who had been on the state's death row for decades.
He’s Been On Louisiana’s Death Row for Decades. A Judge Just Vacated His Conviction.
Chris Duncan’s longtime claims of innocence were boosted by the discrediting of bite mark analysis, and by recent reforms now under threat from the state’s Republican leadership.

Big news today: Chris Duncan, who spent decades on Louisiana's death row on 'junk science' until his conviction was overturned this spring, is being released today.

Dear foreign tourists,
Don’t come to the U.S. right now. We’re not fit for company. If you do come, wear makeup that makes you look very white. Otherwise, federal thugs may smash the windows of your rental car or tear-gas you. Or worse. Better stay away and see whether we defeat the fascists.

I hope folks realize that between Trump, Kushner, Hegseth, Witkoff, Noem, RFK, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard, this country is almost entirely undefended.
Q: Have you heard this audio that Bloomberg has of Witkoff coaching the Russians on how to appeal to you?

TRUMP: That's a standard thing. He's gotta sell this to Ukraine, he's gonna sell Ukraine to Russia. That's what a dealmaker does. I haven't heard it but I heard it was standard negotiation.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Making literature of any kind illegal is one step towards being able to manufacture evidence that your perceived enemies are much more vast and dangerous than they are .

This is a floating signifier of sorts that will be used to target anyone the fascists see as a threat to their power.
