There's SO many good reasons to NEVER use Amazon, here's just the most recent one!
While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.

Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

Biofuels we’re always a nonsense because photosynthesis is about 3-6% efficient at capturing solar energy, while solar cells are 15-23% efficient at turning sunlight into electricity. So use 1/5 of the biofuel land for solar cells and the rest for the FOOD we need that electricity can’t make!
Interesting thought experiment by Hannah Ritchie on land use for Biofuels.

But but, "job creators". Criminals!

While Canada’s Conservatives are giving away media passes like candy to partisan influencers at their Calgary convention this weekend, independent journalists are being stonewalled for accreditation.

Federal Conservatives trade journalists for partisan cheerleaders
When Conservatives gather in Calgary at their convention next weekend, right-wing “content creators” will be welcomed as journalists. This publication, not so much.

People are dead in American streets, at the hands of government officials. There have been no proper law enforcement investigations. There's no mechanism to hold anyone to account & no way to stop it?? Because it's never happened before??? My god. Come on.

"I'm also scared now, so things need to change" isn't moral growth, it's a reaction that even the worst, most immoral people have to threats to themselves.
It's not progress, it doesn't mean they've suddenly developed empathy, it just means they're a little less delusional about their own safety.

I keep thinking about statements like these. I suspect a significant portion of ICE—perhaps most of it—believes Vance / Miller / et al that they have total legal immunity for anything they do.

This is (1) not true as a matter of law and (2) a lie intended to incite the violence we've seen from ICE.
