Okay so I'm from Canada and there have been multiple scandals of police doing this (primarily to Native men), often to people without coats. This is straight up a police murder tactic, and a well-documented one at that.

One of the many facets of why everything sucks so much these days is so much of everything we do, the online spaces we exist, are completely opaque black boxes that can arbitrarily punish you and never have to actually explain why. Steam, Youtube, Bluesky itself, everything works this way now
Valve has now rejected my complaint, confirming that "I don't like muslims" is a valid reason to leave a negative review on a game on Steam

This is where we're at now.

it's also weird that they keep trying to insert themselves into traditionally male-dominated, patriarchal, historically very sexist and bigoted spaces like stand-up comedy and competitive gaming, how interesting. I wonder what's next!
Remember the response to anyone who went to the Riyahd Comedy Festival?

Yeah uh I wouldn't recommend touching this with a 10 foot pole, regardless of what they offer

But Victoria passed the Adult Time for Violent Crime legislation which can send 14 year olds to adult jails.

Which is it you want them to be? Adults or children?

Or simply not seen or heard at all?

I think it's actually more insidious than this. Religion routinely teaches people there's meaning and holiness in community and connection with the rest of humanity, but simulation theory teaches that only a sacred few are smart enough to notice they're players in a computer game full of NPCs.
"We live in a simulation" is honestly just religion for people who think they're too clever to be religious. It's looking for meaning and order in the chaos of existence.
