Say, are you involved at all with Palestinian Voices in Games?

They're helping to organize volunteers in the games space to support Palestinian creators.

Back from our local community's Palestinian solidarity and fundraising evening, screening Jumana Manna's Foragers. Reassuringly busy. There's not a right kind of place to do things, you just have to do them wherever you are.

There's some sumptuous goose art inside, if you're keen for a gander 👀
Carved in Stone is a comprehensive setting guide for early medieval Pictish society, and as such my work on it was wide and varied and included illustrating real artifacts, speculative penannular brooch designs, and even the animals that would have inhabited their world.

I think about this little guy all the damned time.

I saw him in the DIA collection almost ten years ago and he's remained a permanent fixture in my brain ever since.

Art is fucking wonderful.

I don't think this is even controversial, it's standard practice.

No interviewer is going through a game's credits looking for a name, and credits aren't seen as a useful way to knot how someone contributed to a project. The expectation is for you to list the work you actually did.
My controversial take is that if you didn't get credited on a game you have proof you've worked on, just list it on your CV.

I do with one. Never had any issues.

Not being credited still sucks but you don't need to be polite when they're not.

Unsurprisingly, according to their own Equality & Diversity reports, the part of the BBC with the smallest proportion of trans employees is the News division - a proportion that has been steadily, if slowly, decreasing over recent years.

Sometimes wonder if what the UK needs is a thinktank that doesn't do any new research, it just repeats obviously true statements that people try to ignore because they're inconvenient.

I saw some chat about Arc Raiders' use of AI voice actors recently - I'm probably not going to rerecord the talk I gave at EXAG but I thought I'd drop in a few slides about the idea that you can make generative AI ethical by getting people to sign a piece of paper to say you can use their data.
