Her bookshelf scares all the boys in the yard,
Damn right, it's got Lucy Maud,
Damn right, there's Baudrillard.
She's out read you, and it's not that odd.
New fear unlocked
There is a subreddit where people post pictures of bookshelves "bookshelf detective", and sometimes it's like "girl I'm dating, what do you think she is like"

And then the comments guess at what kind of person the owner of the bookshelf is and it feels ODDLY HUMILIATING LOL

Yep, studios were broken by internet nitpickers and think normal audiences would not be perfectly happy to see Different Handsome Brit walk in and say “Bond, James Bond” whilst holding onto the delusion that a Kangaroo is a Martini.

Studio executives still do not understand that the internet is not real and for every person screaming into YouTube about continuity, there are dozens of ticket buying people who just want 60s surfer guitar, guns, stunts and bikinis and don’t care how it is reintroduced

This is so bizarre to me. If someone has lots of books some of them could be from times in their life when they were someone else. Some could be gifts they didn’t buy. In my case, some belong to my family members. Just be glad if someone reads. Find out who they are by talking to them.

No, using AI generated stuff as a "placeholder" on your crowdfunding campaign is not OK either.

If the visuals are THAT important to getting your project funded, then you need to pay a person up front for those key visuals and deliver a consistent end product to your backers.

❌️Sharing facts
✅️Sharing facts like you, yourself, are also shocked at how bad LLMs are, like isn't this WILD??? Omg!
The most wildly successful route to education about LLMs for me has been "scandal gossip", interjecting some fact about AI with an "and did you see THIS?" and an article or example into casual office chatter about it. Everyone loves to gossip about a scandalous fact

Enshrining continuity and canon in pop fiction was a mistake
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I'm not thrilled that winter has come early (thanks, climate change, for fucking up the arctic jet stream) but there is a simple pleasure in putting on your longjohns for the first time of the season and feeling especially cozy when walking out into the snow
