Context: one of the speakers at a packed Surprise, AZ city council meeting after it was revealed that ICE has purchased a massive warehouse in town to use as a detention facility. The City Council has said they didn't know about it, and have no authority to stop it.
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

Okay, now that *seven Senate Democrats* wrapped the hearing by voting for a (different) Trump nominee who gave these same "I can't say anything about 2020 or January 6" answers, I am returning to my original prescription, except the leftists may not be any older than 18 now
By a vote of 58-39, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Aaron Christian Peterson to be United States District Judge for the District of Alaska. Democrat Senators voting aye: Duckworth, Durbin, Hassan, Kaine, Kelly, Shaheen, and Whitehouse. Senators not voting: Crapo, McConnell, and Murphy.

Bezos generously funded a paper that through the Trump I era had strong and ambitious accountability journalism, was run by take-no-prisoners editor Marty Baron, expanded its newsroom dramatically, and did great work on press freedom. Then, by 2022 or 2023, he changed his mind. I don't know why
