This was an actual nazi policy after the housing crisis Germany experienced during hyperinflation in the 1920-30s.

They targeted Jewish people claiming they controlled real estate and spread lies that Roma and Sinti people were "invading" and people with disabilities were a burden on the taxpayer

It’s fitting that the most trusted person in podcasting is also the most credulous fool imaginable. “I was at Peter Thiel’s house for dinner the other night and he said the wine we were drinking was actually water that had been fed through Palantir’s servers and I was like whoa man, that’s so cool.”

a good 40% of the argument for decriminalization is to take the distribution networks out of the hands of the guys who did this. these are not the victims of the drug war. these (alongside law enforcement) are the perpetrators.

I will give an *extremely* limited defense of this in that a congressional stock trading ban probably should be coupled with a significant bump in congressional pay.
Rep. Roger Williams defends members of Congress trading stocks: "I think we gotta be careful that we don't limit Congresspeople to where they can do nothing ... from a financial standpoint, it's not easy being up in Congress."

If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

I am going to be setting up Ersatz TV on my media server and am planning out what TV stations to include. Current ideas:

* Adult Swim '90s through '00s
* Toonami
* genre stuff from the 90s (Twin Peaks, Buffy, X-files)
* Whose Line is it Anyway 24/7/365
* Dr. Who 24/7/365

Need further suggestions.

Gee, it’s almost as if the Secretary of Defense ordered his subordinates to carry out an order his department’s own Law of War manual explicitly states is illegal.
"The requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows...are illegal. For example, 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥."

Woke: Die Hard is set at Christmas. Christmas film
Bespoke: Die Hard is about death, judgement, and deliverance from evil (and people anticipating the celebration of Christmas with an office party) and is therefore clearly an Advent movie
